Peri-implantitis  - inflammation of the tissues surrounding the dental implant - is a complication of the late postoperative period after the installation of dental implants. During the period of fusion of the implant and the jaw bone, the soft tissues around the tooth become inflamed, which leads to the destruction of the jaw bone tissue around the implant - peri-implantitis.

If at the initial stage, peri-implantitis is treated with conventional anti-inflammatory therapy - the use of antibacterial solutions, plaque removal, and strict oral hygiene, then at later stages, peri-implantitis can be eliminated in one single way - removal of the implant and treatment of the socket.
